The lack of eyebrows was a severe and punishing problem in ancient times. Eyedrow loss can be caused by endocrine effect, autoimmune disorders, atopic dermatitis, leprosy, syphilis, skin tuberculosis, burn trauma, excision of a neoplasm, etc., The stigma that most worries the patient with leprosy is the absence of eyebrow.

Nowadays, with the increasing number of accident, the plastic surgeon is more confronted with these eyebrow loss due to burns.

It is very important to restore the eyebrows for rehabilitation and the reintegration of patients in normal society. Many authors have written about the psychological and social importance of restoring eyebrows.

There are various methods for reconstruction of the eyebrow, and all of the literature on restoration of eyebrows can be divided into descriptions of four main procedures - 1) free composite grafts from the scalp. 2) grafts of isolated hair follicles, 3) a pedicle flap from the opposite eyebrow, 4) pedicle flaps from the scalp, and 5) island flap of scalp.

Among the above methods, the last one has many merits over others. It provides a full, masculine, bulky eyebrow and restore the prominence of the eyebrow.

Authors would like to report two cases of eyebrow reconstruction by using the superficial temporal artery island flaps with brief review of the related refernces.
